I've signed up for Run the Runway and have chosen to help raise funds for the Aerocool Rescue Helicopter.

Why I'm fundraising: This is personal 1 for me as it maybe for a lot of people. My husband was in a horrific truck accident that required him to be air lifted to Waikato hospital and my sister in-law heart had stopped and also needed to be air lifted to Hospital. So therefore I am so thankful for this service, the pilots and Paramedics that this is the least I could do, even if it’s just getting involved/participating and trying to help raise funds and awareness that what this service offers/does…. MATTERS 


About the service:

The Aerocool Rescue Helicopter is a fully-fledged air emergency medical service that services the whole of the Bay of Plenty region. It brings life-saving equipment and rescue personnel directly to patients, 24/7, 365 days a year, and is staffed by an amazing & experienced crew of Critical Care Flight Paramedics (CCFP), Air Crew Officers and Pilots. Donations from fundraising helps ensure the rescue helicopter can continue to carry out life-saving missions, whenever and wherever needed. Because you never know when you'll need your rescue helicopter.
