I'm fundraising for The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter
What I will be doing: Running from the Molesworth Cob Cottage at the northern end of Molesworth Station to the Acheron Camp site Cob Cottage at the southern end = 59km
I want to do this because: The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter rescued me at the Taupo National Equestrian center after I was crushed by a horse resulting in a broken pelvis and lower spine. My legs weren't taken away from me that day and I am so grateful so I'll use them to run and give back to the team at Greenlea
About this service: The Greenlea Rescue Helicopter is a fully-fledged air emergency medical service that services the Central Plateau & Lakes region across the Central North Island. It brings life-saving equipment and rescue personnel directly to patients, 24/7, 365 days a year, and is staffed by an amazing & experienced crew of Critical Care Flight Paramedics (CCFP), Air Crew Officers and Pilots. Donations from fundraising go towards the operational costs, which helps ensure the rescue helicopter can continue to carry out life-saving missions, whenever and wherever needed.
