I'm fundraising for the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter

The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter service was founded in 1987 and has touched the lives of more than 13,000 patients.

The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter services the Waikato, Coromandel and King Country region in the North Island. Providing a 24-hour emergency service, 365 days a year.

Providing a fully-fledged air emergency medical service with the employment of our own full-time experienced Critical Care Flight Paramedics (CCFP), Crewmen and Pilots. Our crews offer a diverse range of attributes and experience to our operation. Each member of the team brings a specialist skillset, enhancing the safety and efficiency of rescue missions.

The Personal Challenge & Idea to Fundraise

Hi there
My name is Anne Fredricsen of Benneydale, King Country in the central North Island of New Zealand.

In August 2022, immediately after finishing the Taupo Marathon (42 kms or 26 miles), I was talking to a fellow Marathoner, who said there were several Marathons coming up in September, which would mean FIVE FULL MARATHONS in just THREE WEEKS.. 

Due to two of these being deferred from 2020 & one from May 2022, I was already pre-entered for three of the five.

So immediately I had the idea, if other Marathon Family from around the country (New Zealand wide)  were taking these on, why not set my Personal Challenge of FIVE in THREE WEEKS also but use this, not just for my own purposes but to benefit The Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter by raising some money in the process; -  hoping others might believe it was a reasonable effort on my part & well worth donating to such a fantastic  life-saving cause.
