Your donation to the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter means we can be there for your local community, and for people like Peter.
Peter was living out in the country, in rural Mangakino. On a cold and blustery day, he went to feed out silage on their remote farm. However, a short while later, the silage wagon he was towing got stuck in mud and then caught on a gate. Peter turned and tried to unhook the wagon and get it loose. Somehow, the tractor must’ve thrown Peter down a short incline, fallen and landed right on top of him - crushing his pelvis. He lay there for hours before being found and emergency services were called and the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter flew him to Hospital for urgent medical care.
That flight saved Peter's life. And it was only possible because of the kindness of people like you.
